Tropentag 2021 Conference: Best Poster Award for LYIG Project

As part of the Leibniz Young Investigator Grant project of Leibniz University Hannover, Dr. Steven Gronau and PhD student Brigitte Ruesink presented their current research at the Tropentag 2021 Conference. The conference took place online and was awarded with the "Best Poster Award" by the organization committee.

PhD student Brigitte Ruesink, who is working on the project, attended the conference and presented the video and poster. Title of the presentation: "What Makes Me Want You Here? Hosts'' Opinion Towards and Contact with Refugees for Integration - an African Settlement Setting. The video creation and poster design were supported by social media expert Emilia Özük. Dr. Steven Gronau commented, "Especially in the context of science communication, I am very pleased that we have been recognized with this award. It shows that our current research has been presented to a broad audience in an appealing and understandable way.
