ROCHADE - Mitigation Policies in a Globalized and Developing World: The Role of Structural Change and Distributional Effects

Kurzbeschreibung:

This project studies the interaction of climate mitigation policy and climate change effects with structural change, i.e., sectoral shifts during the course of economic development. For this purpose, it carries out econometric analyses, extends numerical economic models and evaluates (policy) scenarios. The project consortium consists of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC), the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW) and the Leibniz University Hannover (LUH). The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) within the framework “Economics of Climate Change II” for three years.

Kurzbeschreibung:

This interdisciplinary project searches for a sustainable way to implement Niedersachsen's energy transition. For this purpose, it constructs and analyzes a detailed numerical economic model.
