Edge project on International Business and Fair Trade with Penn State University

A group of around 35 students from LUH and the Penn State University met online over a period of three intensive weeks to work in mixed teams on joint task assignments related to the topic of International Business and Fair Trade. The supervisors from the USA (Vincent Perez) and Germany (Ulrike Grote and Robyn Blake-Rath) provided the students with some content for research. On the last day, the students presented their results in a plenary session not only to all students and supervisors, but also to some experts from the private sector and the fair trade labeling community. This Edge (Experiential Digital Global Engagement)  project provided an excellent opportunity for both students and teachers to develop their skills such as intercultural interaction, project collaboration, remote collaboration and digital skills. The aim was also to gain a better understanding of the importance of ethical trade, production and consumption.
