Objectives In a written assignment, students will be given a topic of current economic issues relating to European African economic relations. The topics will be given at the beginning of the course and students will present their papers during the second half of the course. The aim of the assignments is to generate a more in-depth understanding of
•    the analysis of development strategies taken by selected African countries
•    economic structure and institutional settings that have facilitated the economic success of these countries
•    economic relationships to European countries and how these relationships have influenced the growth of their economies.
